The Battle Buddy for Life program is the second part of the SQUAD Recon program, and it takes place after the squad members reunite. This program aims to provide additional support to veterans by including their spouses or caregivers. By connecting spouses with each other and their veterans’ battle brothers and sisters, the program provides an important layer of emotional support.
The multi-day event is designed to offer a range of activities that are not only fun but also foster connections among participants. Warfighter Overwatch covers all travel and event expenses to ensure that veterans and their spouses or caregivers can participate fully in the program without incurring any additional costs. It is important to note that attendance at the Battle Buddy for Life program requires prior completion of the SQUAD Recon program. This prerequisite ensures that participants have already developed a strong bond with their fellow squad members and are better prepared to engage in meaningful connections with spouses or caregivers during the program.
